This role is pivotal in leading the development and management of Core System software at AXA, ensuring adherence to high technical standards, quality benchmarks, and corporate policies. Beyond development, the position involves providing essential operational support to maintain system stability, effectively manage critical incidents, and continuously optimize application performance. The manager will also be responsible for nurturing and developing the team, fostering strong collaborations with vendors and internal departments to seamlessly integrate business needs into all technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing development management and technical leadership for all aspects of Core System software, working closely with Engineers, Developers, and Project Management across the organization to drive product development and enhancements.
• Establishing and promoting software development standards, processes, documentation, and best practices to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-quality software.
• Monitoring and ensuring full compliance with all corporate security measures, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Consulting with internal departments to understand business requirements and translate them into project objectives, while also providing support for product software development to internal departments and business entities.
• Supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining front-end application production systems to enhance performance, resolve issues, and ensure timely follow-up on identified problems.
• Providing expert support during critical incidents, liaising with all affected groups to manage the incident effectively.
• Conducting employee performance evaluations, setting clear expectations and goals for the sub-department and individual staff members, and managing recruitment, discipline, and training based on current and anticipated needs.
• Managing and collaborating effectively with IT Vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree (Strata-1) from reputable Universities with a major in Informatics, Electrical, Economic, Management, or Engineering.
• 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience in multiple Enterprise Core Technologies Development, including some team management experience.
• Familiarity with more than one software development methodology.
