Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for coordinating with site, division, and group teams, providing leadership for site-level procurement according to Parker’s policies and processes. This role involves planning, coordinating, and directing complex strategic and tactical procurement and material processes from supplier proposals to product delivery. Key objectives include meeting goals in supply chain quality, order management, delivery, cost, inventory, and warehousing. The manager ensures all procurement activities comply with domestic and international laws, regulations, and management objectives. This position is part of the site’s Senior Leadership Team and reports to the Regional Supply Chain Manager, ASEAN, with direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end division supply chain strategy covering materials management, procurement, production/inventory control, transportation, logistics, warehouse, and customer service.
• Manage and develop supply chain teams, including procurement, PC&L, compliance, logistics, and supplier development.
• Own and improve the division’s Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand, supply, capacity, and financial objectives.
• Drive supplier management initiatives focused on performance, development, risk mitigation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee strategic production planning and inventory strategies to support customer delivery, working capital targets, and operational efficiency.
• Implement and sustain lean enterprise systems and continuous improvement practices across supply chain processes.
• Lead transportation and logistics activities to enhance delivery performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
• Support and enhance electronic supply chain interfaces and digital processes for improved visibility, accuracy, and execution.
• Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, engineering, quality, finance, and pricing to address supply chain constraints and improve business performance.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for measurable improvements.
• Represent the supply chain at the division level.
• Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
• Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
• Collaborate with HR on recruiting and training new or junior staff.
• Monitor team performance and motivate them to meet deadlines.
• Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
• Coordinate closely with the Country Sales & Operations Manager.
• Report back to the Regional ASEAN Supply Chain Manager.

• Manage operational inventory levels to ensure adequate availability of ready-to-sell products aligned with customer demand, sales priorities, and service expectations.
• Optimize stock turn and working capital by balancing inventory availability with cost efficiency and inventory control targets.
• Monitor shipments and inventory performance, including availability, stockouts, excess and obsolete inventory, order fill rates, and inventory aging.
• Develop procedures for special order requirements, product substitutions, and changing market demand patterns to maintain customer continuity and commercial agility.
• Establish and maintain premier customer service.
• Establish preferred supplier selection criteria based on evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations, and group programs.
• Develop crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs.
• Negotiate long-term contracts in coordination with group staff and policies.
• Responsible for continuous improvement programs with suppliers.
• Manage the division’s transportation logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of products direct to customers or through distribution centers/warehouses.

Jobholder Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a similar industry, with at least 7 years in Supply Chain Management roles.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance from a reputable university (or international equivalent); Advanced Degree Preferred.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Accounting Software, JDE, and databases.
• Certification in supply chain management is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of customs and formalities principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into effective business decisions.
• Possesses analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities; exposure to digital supply chain tools is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in Tax, Treasury, Auditing, and Cost Accounting – especially from similar industry or consumer-related business is a PLUS.
• Knowledge of mining, oil and gas, plantation industry, and other related industry accounting processes is a PLUS.
• Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to mentor and develop team members.
